Background
Kamaboko is made from a puree of steamed and pressed white fish and is a common topping in Japanese noodle soups. Japanese serve kamaboko to celebrate an event as it is believed white and red bring good luck. This Japanese fish cake even has its own dedicated day in Japan, celebrated on the 15th of November!
How To Use
You can find many ways to prepare succulent meals with kamaboko. Just cut some slices, dip them into soy sauce and add some wasabi if you wish. A perfect addition to salads, Japanese noodles soups or even as a side dish to share with your friends!
